In this dark comedy, a lady named Samantha goes bananas over a reality show rejection after “fixing” her nose. So that’s two things wrong in society, reality TV and cosmetic surgery. However, these sound like first-world issues compared with our political landscape. We spend almost half an hour with this relatable but dubious character.
Karen Knox is a Canadian actor/director. She’s run shows such as Homeschooled (CBC) and Slo Pitch (IFC/AMC+) and directed other shorts such as The Fates, Borderline, and The Comics. Also, she’s credited as an actress in SYFY’s Letters to Satan.
Co-director Matt Eastman is a filmmaker from Toronto. He’s done commercials and other short films like Boujee on a Budget and Whatever, Linda. According to his bio, he’s learning to skate. Which is inspiring. I gotta get moving rather than getting Botox.
